A ready-made COM module is not the only module to place on a tailor-made carrier board. We’d like to share our experiences from working with wireless modules in a couple of automotive projects.

Wireless COTS modules – The way to go

When the antenna was placed on the window-ledge and the GPS coordinates received were entered in Google Maps, the mark pointed at the correct end of Hectronic’s office building in Uppsala, Sweden.
