The EPIA P710 Pico-ITXe embedded motherboard takes a rational, modular approach to embedded system design. The compact EPIA-P710 is designed to be used with a customizable I/O expansion board in a stackable, I/O-centric implementation.
The EPIA P710 is the very first embedded motherboard to take advantage of the new Pico-ITXe standard and SUMIT connector specifications. Using the SUMIT connector to mount a customized expansion board, the EPIA P710-10 allows simple connection of both high and low speed, legacy and serial buses including S-ATA, USB 2.0 and PCI Express.
Powered by a 1GHz VIA C7 processor and the VIA VX800 media system processor, the compact EPIA P710 is incredibly versatile with a full feature set that makes it perfect for a range of embedded applications. Measuring only 10cm x 7.2cm, the EPIA P710 features the VIA Chrome9 IGP with DX9 graphics and hardware acceleration for MPEG-2/4, WMV9 and VC1 codecs.
The EPIA P710 supports up to 2GB of DDR2 system memory, one IDE channel, two S-ATA channels and high definition audio. I/O configurations include support for up to 3 USB, 1 LPC, 2 PCIe x1, 1 PCIe x4, SMBus and SPI buses. Pin headers provide Gigabit LAN, VGA, LVDS, audio and front panel LED.
