Hectronic, a specialist in embedded PC development and manufacturing, has been awarded a contract with an international customer within the maritime industry for development and production of a custom made embedded computer system. The system is the fourth generation embedded computer developed by Hectronic for the customer in the many years of cooperation with the customer. It's a three year contract and production starts in Q4 2013.
The system is specifically developed for operation in harsh environments. The specification includes an extended temperature operating range and shock and vibration protection. The system undergoes marine testing and certification procedures.
