Hectronic and Mitsubishi Electric in closer cooperation around display distribution
Hectronic AB and ACAL BFi Nordic AB will, in a joint effort, offer industrial displays from Mitsubishi to Nordic customers. Customers benefit from the combination of ACAL BFi:s organization and infrastructure in logistics and Hectronics expertise in embedded systems.

Uppsala, Sweden, March 22, 2012:

Hectronic, a specialist in embedded PC development and manufacturing, has announced a closer cooperation with Mitsubishi by signing an agreement about an enlarged sales organization in the Nordic countries. Hectronic AB and ACAL BFi Nordic AB will, in a joint effort, offer industrial displays from Mitsubishi to Nordic customers. ACAL BFi Nordic is a supplier of specialist technologies and Hectronic has more than 20 years of experience from development of embedded computers. The cooperation is beneficiary to the Nordic customers from the combination of ACAL BFi:s organization and infrastructure in logistics, supply and distribution of electronic products and Hectronics expertise in touch displays, cabling and embedded systems. ACAL BFi and Hectronic are companies in the UK-listed Acal Group.

The cooperation between Hectronic and Mitsubishi begun in 2010 and has involved distribution of displays to customers in the Nordic countries. The displays from Mitsubishi have features and properties aimed at meeting requirements from industrial applications.
“The trend is that more and more industrial products requires embedded systems including advanced display solutions” says Patrik Björklund, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hectronic. “This new agreement with Mitsubishi and the cooperation with ACAL BFi mean that we are able to present advantages in every area from logistics to system integration for the display solutions that our customers require to increase the competitiveness of their products.”

Mitsubishi displays use the TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) technology. The displays are adapted to industrial use among other things by an increased product life-time, operation in a wide temperature range and high brightness. TFT-LCD modules from Mitsubishi have a guaranteed lite-time of at least five years. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +80°C for the majority of the product range. There are display versions with the Super High Brightness feature in all screen sizes offering at least 1000 cd/m². All displays from Mitsubishi are backwards compatible. This means that new Mitsubishi displays have the same mounting hole pattern, connectors and pin configuration as existing models of the same size. Thus the work is simplified when integrating new displays with enhanced optical qualities in existing products that have used older display versions.
