Intel Apollo Lake - Next Generation Low-Power Processors

Early 2017 Hectronic will launch the first COMs, boards and systems based on the new generation Intel processors (Apollo Lake) in cooperation with selected partners. Apollo Lake is mainly intended for use in complex embedded computer solutions with a focus on the growing markets surrounding Internet of Things (IoT).

Apollo Lake is a major step forward for Intels low-power products going from a 22nm to 14nm manufacturing process under the Goldmont architecture that in many cases is similar to the current Skylake generation of Core processors.

Unlike typical low-power consumption platforms intended for embedded computer solutions, the Intel Apollo Lake offers heavily improved 3D graphics. The new Intel 9th generation graphics engine is bumping 3D performance to be able to handle more graphic intense applications.

Hectronic offers a variation of COMs, boards and embedded systems based on Apollo Lake. Hectronics portfolio includes everything from custom solutions based on our customers’ requirements to of the shelf standard products. Initial launch of Apollo Lake includes COTS products in the categories Mini-ITX and COM Express modules. More products from our partners will be launched in the near future, for any questions about upcoming products or custom projects please contact us at sales@hectronic.se.
